Cameroon’s emergence: Top on Biya’s Agenda

CPDM candidate for the October 7 Presidential election plans to accelerate the country’s progress towards emergence.

As one of the points in his Manifesto, the CPDM candidate reiterates his desire for Cameroon’s emergence. According to Paul Biya, “we must achieve emergence by boosting economic and social development to enable our compatriots live in a prosperous and stable country which present and future generations will be proud of ”. He pledges to step up the fight against corruption and misappropriation of public funds. About corruption, Paul Biya is none complaisant. This because he wants to give Cameroon a better image nationally and internationally; doubtless why he hits really hard on all who are caught in the corruption web. Paul Biya preaches by example hence teaching the population that corruption is a vise and no one should indulge in it. He also promises to “pursue the structural transformation of our economy and the increase of its productivity”. Paul Biya wants to “protect subsistence farming”. The soil always yields, this is what the candidate of the CPDM party for the October 7 Presidential election has come to realize; reason why he continues to encourage all to take agriculture seriously.

Paul Biya maintains that he will not just end at the protection of subsistence farming but will also “develop the rational and sustainable exploitation of the resources of our soil and subsoil, promote livestock farming and ensure rational organization of the blue economy through better control of fishing and appropriate exploitation of fisheries resources”. Every honest person will testify that when Paul Biya says something he does it and well too. Cameroon will therefore never be the same again with his plan for its emergence. The lack of industries for the transformation of raw material has always been a setback for the county’s growth. Paul Biya Promises to “develop industries for local processing of our raw material while protecting the environment,” notwithstanding his desire to make “access to credit more flexible in order to boost the development of productive activities, accelerate the development of land, rail, air and river transport infrastructure using a complementary approach”,. These and more are in a nutshell some of the giant strides the candidate of the CPDM is presenting to Cameroonians, to achieve all of these, he requires the maximum number of votes from the greatest majority.
